Overview
The Bechtel Conference Center (BCC) offers state-of the-art audiovisual capabilities and an on-site technical manager in a world-class setting to serve a full range of your Stanford meeting needs. With a maximum room capacity of 180, the BCC accommodates a variety of seating arrangements and complete food service facilities for catered events. The BCC space encompasses the main meeting room and a side room adjacent to the main meeting room. You may also reserve the lobby, the Oksenberg room, and the videoconference facility for your event. The BCC is wheelchair-accessible and can be equipped with an assisted listening system upon request. Full details about BCC amenities are provided below.
Technical Capabilities
The BCC has the following technical capabilities:
- Podium equipped with microphones and touch panel for control of lighting, laptop connections, projection screen, and skylight operation
- High-resolution (1600 x 1200) 6,000 lumen 3-chip DLP projector
- Ability to display video from computers, internet, DVD, campus television, and document camera presentations
- High-quality audio system for speech and theater sound, automated 48 channel mixer that accommodates wired and wireless mics
- Document camera for projecting hard-copy presentations (replaces overhead projector)
- 35 mm slide projector
- Video camera system to document your event on VHS tape
- Enhanced lighting and window treatments
- Internet and local area network access -wireless
- Assisted listening syste
- Translation booth
- Large venue videoconferencing, H.323, IP network with multi-site feature
Room Set-up Options

Food Service
The BCC has two pantries and a separate entry with service elevator for catered events. We require that BCC clients contract with a caterer who carries liability insurance. The Stanford client must be present while caterers are on site. Any damage to the premises caused by the caterer is the responsibility of the Stanford client. Please refer to our Policies and Rates section when planning for catered events. A partial list of suggested caterers who are familiar with our facilities is provided below.
